Stainless
Steel Ovens
Advertisements
There are a wide choice of
stainless steel ovens to choose from. There are also a number of styles and
technical terms to familiarise yourself with. From Single ovens
to double ovens, convection or fan operated, sizes measured in
litres and top or side opening doors. Which one is suited for
your kitchen depends on kitchen layout and your cooking
requirements, and finally your budget.
Stainless steel ovens look very sleek
and modern with the exterior boasting beautiful ergonomic
designs. Most are now fully digital that offer more than
just a digital clock or timer. With a touch LCD screen control
system, one touch will allow you to choose an array of
programmed cooking options. This is similar to the programs we
are used to seeing in the modern microwave.
Convection oven system allows better
control over ideal temperatures and the airflow around the
internal cavity. This ensures that food is cooked evenly and
quickly. With a number of convection options to choose from,
you have more control over the cooking process.
Built-in Electrical Single
Oven
As the name states, this is a single
oven with the option of opening the door from the top or from
the side. Most ovens open from the top, but if they are placed
too high, then a side door is the best option. This allows the
a shorter person to easily open the oven door without having to
reach for the handle at the top. Most oven these days are fan
operated which ensures that the contents are cooked at an even
temperature, no matter what shelf or position the food is
placed.
The fan operated system essentially
draws air over an element that is placed at the back of the
unit and then circulates the air through specifically placed
ducts inside the oven cavity. By cooking with the assisted fan
option, the food is cooked evenly and much quicker.
Electrical Double
Oven
These ovens work in the same way as
the single stainless steel ovens, except there is a second
oven. Normally the second oven is smaller and can either be
above or below the larger one. This all depends on the
manufacturer and doesn't really make a difference which one is
above or below. As with the single oven, they also have the fan
assisted option built into both cavities.

There are free standing
stainless steel ovens available, although they
take up more space. These ovens
are also available in stainless steel
and provide the same features as the built-in
ovens. They can be
purchased as electrical
ovens or gas ovens
depending on your utilities
requirements in the home.
